Ye, el rapero y empresario también conocido como Kanye West, se disculpó ante la comunidad judía por cualquier «ofensa no intencionada» causada por «sus palabras o acciones» en un mensaje escrito en hebreo y que compartió en Instagram este martes.
El rapero dijo: “Nunca fue mi intención lastimar o faltar el respeto, y lamento profundamente cualquier dolor que haya causado”.
Además, dijo que reconocía el valor de lo que había aprendido de la experiencia y que estaba «comprometido a fomentar una mayor sensibilidad y comprensión en el futuro«.
Kanye West añadió que el perdón de la comunidad «tiene un valor significativo para mí y estoy dedicado a hacer las paces y trabajar para promover la unidad«.
No está claro qué motivó la publicación, que no detalla la naturaleza de las disculpas.
Hace más de un año, dijo que estaba “yendo a muerte ccontra el PUEBLO JUDÍO” en una publicación en línea que resultó en el bloqueo de su cuenta de Twitter.
Esto se produjo días después de que su cuenta de Instagram fuera restringida debido a lo que la compañía dijo que era una violación de sus políticas.
A raíz de esas declaraciones, Adidas puso fin a su lucrativa asociación con Ye y su marca de ropa Yeezy. En una declaración hecha después de rescindir el acuerdo en octubre pasado, el fabricante de ropa deportiva dijo que no «tolera el antisemitismo ni ningún otro tipo de discurso de odio«.
