Reflexión del seminarista del Centro Hebreo Ioná, Brian Menes Wainstein: Hoy Parashá Bo
La Parashá de esta semana se llama «Bo». Y allí leemos el momento en el que el Pueblo de Israel debía pintar las puertas de sus hogares con sangre de cordero, durante la décima plaga. Es un momento clave que vincula de manera significativa la identidad judía con la relación especial que el pueblo tenía con D’s.
Cuando instruyó a los israelitas a marcar las puertas con sangre de cordero, no sólo estaba proporcionando un medio para escapar de la plaga que afectaría a Egipto, sino que también estaba estableciendo un símbolo poderoso de identidad y fe.
Al seguir esta idea divina, los judíos afirmaron su confianza en Dios como su protector y demostraron su disposición a obedecer sus mandamientos, incluso cuando estos parecían desafiantes.
La acción de marcar las puertas no sólo garantizaba la seguridad física sino que, también, marcaba a la comunidad como un pueblo singular y elegido. Este acto se convirtió en un testimonio tangible de la conexión especial entre los hijos de Israel y su Creador. En medio de la oscuridad y la incertidumbre de la plaga, la identidad judía se afirmó a través de la obediencia a Dios.

Este episodio resalta cómo la identidad judía no es simplemente un conjunto de prácticas culturales o tradiciones, sino que está intrínsecamente vinculada a la relación espiritual con lo divino. La fe y la adhesión a los mandamientos no sólo fueron elementos clave para superar la plaga, sino que también fortalecieron la identidad judía en un nivel más profundo, recordando a la comunidad su papel único como pueblo elegido.
En este momento crítico, la identidad judía se manifestó no sólo como una herencia cultural, sino como una conexión espiritual que trascendía las circunstancias adversas.
