El presidente Javier Milei asistió junto a la vicepresidenta Victoria Villarruel al acto de homenaje a las víctimas del atentado a la embajada de Israel.
Concurrió al lugar del hecho ocurrido hace 32 años en la intersección de las calles Arroyo y Suipacha, en el barrio porteño de Retiro, acompañado también por su hermana y Secretaria General de la Presidencia, Karina Milei, y los ministros de Interior, Guillermo Francos, de Capital Humano, Sandra Petovello y de Defensa, Luis Petri, además de Jorge Macri, jefe de Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
El acto comenzó pasadas las 14.30, con los familiares de las víctimas de la explosión como protagonistas en la esquina donde se encontraba el edificio. Allí, en homenaje, se halla actualmente una plaza, lugar donde se realizó el acto.
Milei arribó temprano al sitio, minutos después de las 14, y con su presencia dio inicio la conmemoración de la fecha. La presencia del jefe de Estado es interpretada, además, como una señal más de la nueva posición geopolítica que adoptó la Argentina a partir del cambio de Gobierno, ratificando así su alianza con Israel, uno de los primeros que visitó el presidente luego de asumir en el cargo, y su vínculo personal con la comunidad judía.
El mandatario nacional es el primero en más de dos décadas en participar de esta conmemoración que se realiza todos los años. En el ataque terrorista murieron 29 personas y más de 200 resultaron heridas.

El embajador de Israel en Argentina, Eyal Sela, dijo, al expresarse en el acto, que “todo diplomático israelí siente que estas paredes llenas de cicatrices podrían haber sido sus oficinas”.
“Hace 32 años que Hezbollah acabó con este edificio y sembró el terror. Dos años después, Irán volvió a planificar otro atentado que terminó con la AMIA”, rememoró Sela.
Luego, habló sobre la masacre que cometió Hamás en Israel el 7 de octubre: “Hace tan solo unos meses, Hamás ingresó a Israel y volvió a escribir con sangre la historia de decenas de argentinos que fueron asesinados o secuestrados. La familia de los Cúneo y los Bibas, rehenes de Hamas. Argentinos e israelíes volvimos a fundirnos en este dolor”.
Este domingo, cuando se cumplieron exactamente 32 años de aquel trágico episodio, las cuentas de la Casa Rosada en las distintas redes sociales publicaron un video y ratificaron el reclamo de Justicia que mantienen desde 1992 los sobrevivientes, familiares de víctimas y todo el país. Al igual que con la AMIA, no hubo ningún responsable condenado por este hecho.
