Los israelíes en Francia se recurren a un servicio de aplicación de taxi personalizado con conductores que hablan hebreo para evitar el creciente antisemitismo en el país.
Monite (que significa «monitor») fue lanzada por tres franco-israelíes. Ofreciendo la seguridad de viajes principalmente desde y hacia aeropuertos con taxistas que hablan ivrit, la aplicación se compara con Uber.
Actualmente la aplicación está disponible en París, Marsella, Lyon y Niza, y se espera que se amplíe aún más a medida que se vuelva cada vez más popular dentro de la comunidad judía francesa en general.

En declaraciones a Times of Israel, el cofundador de la aplicación, Ilan Amar, dijo: “Muchos [israelíes] nos dijeron que se había vuelto complicado viajar al extranjero, que tenían miedo de decir que venían de Israel y sentían un poco de inseguridad. Comenzaron a usar nuestra aplicación”.
Añadió: «La población judía de Francia no era necesariamente nuestro objetivo específico. Pero, al final, nuestra aplicación fue una bocanada de aire fresco para los judíos en Francia que se sienten inseguros».
Lamentablemente, esto revela un grave problema en Francia. Actualmente estamos trabajando para desarrollar el servicio en destinos populares para los israelíes, como Estados Unidos, el Reino Unido y España.
Según las últimas cifras del Consejo Representativo de Instituciones Judías de Francia, en 2024 se registraron en Francia 1.570 incidentes antisemitas, casi cuatro veces más que los 436 registrados en 2022.
