Según reportes en la prensa extranjera, Israel y las facciones terroristas palestinas alcanzaron un acuerdo de cese al fuego bajo la intermediación de Egipto.
Sin embargo, 48 minutos después del supuesto acuerdo de alto al fuego se registraron nuevamente andanadas de cohetes desde la Franja de Gaza hacia Israel. El ejército de Israel también siguió atacando objetivos terroristas del Hamas en la Franja de Gaza.
El acuerdo de cese al fuego habría entrado en efecto desde las 10 PM, hora de Israel. El movimiento terrorista Hamas anunció en el canal al-Aqsa TV que se consiguió un acuerdo del cese al fuego.
Mientras tanto, suenan las sirenas en Israel por la andanadas de misiles que provienen desde Gaza y que comenzó en la madrugada del lunes cuando un cohete impactó en una casa, el ejército de Israel destruyó un cuartel secreto del movimiento terrorista Hamas.
El portavoz de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel confirmó que «aviones de combate atacaron un edificio de tres pisos ubicado en Tזabra en la Franja de Gaza» y aclaró que se trata de un «cuartel secreto del movimiento terrorista Hamas que es utilizado por la seguridad general y la inteligencia de la organización terrorista».
Además detallaron que se trata de un punto estratégico central del Hamas que fue atacado «en paralelo a los ataques que realizan las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel a lo largo de la Franja de Gaza»
Las alarmas antiaéreas sonaron repetidas veces en la noche de este lunes en el sur de Israel por el lanzamiento de decenas de cohetes desde Gaza.
Varias andanadas de cohetes fueron disparadas desde Gaza hacia los pueblos israelíes en el sur de Israel y reportes iniciales indican que varias decenas de cohetes fueron disparadas.
Se reportó que al menos un cohete impactó en una casa en la ciudad israelí de Sderot en el sur de Israel.
El sistema de defensa antimisiles, Cúpula de Hierro, fue activado para interceptar cohetes disparados desde Gaza.
