En ese sentido, dijo que «nuestros hombres, nuestras mujeres, nuestros niños planean secuestrar a sus soldados y colonos, allí donde estén. Y este es nuestro derecho porque no tenemos otra forma de liberar a nuestros héroes».
Justamente, Jalil al Haya pronunció estas palabras en las vísperas del «Día de los Prisioneros», que se conmemora cada 17 de abril, fecha en las que se manifiestan a favor de los aproximadamente 6.000 palestinos presos, muchos de ellos por atentar contra la población civil israelí.
«La resistencia no flaqueará hasta vaciar por completo las prisiones israelíes de todos sus prisioneros palestinos», prometió por su parte Ahmed al Mudalal, dirigente del movimiento Yihad Islámica.
