El líder del Partido Laborista Británico escribió la introducción a un libro antisemita

Jeremy Corbyn, presidente del Partido Laborista británico, fue el autor de la introducción al libro “El imperialismo: un estudio” que John Atkinson Hobson escribió en 1902, publicado en una nueva edición en 2011, donde se alega que los judíos dominan la economía mundial y los medios de comunicación en el mundo.

Corbyn manifestó que “el análisis de Hobson es brillante y controvertido para el período”. El Partido Laborista alegó que Corbyn “rechaza completamente los elementos antisemitas de su análisis”, pero no respondió por qué el líder del partido expresó su apoyo al contenido del libro.

Ian Austin, ex diputado laborista que abandonó el partido por su antisemitismo, expresó: «Esto es absolutamente espantoso. Las personas decentes se sentirán enfermas al verlo describir como ‘brillante’ un libro escrito por alguien que impulsó profunda y claramente las teorías racistas sobre los judíos que controlan bancos, periódicos, gobiernos y guerras para promover sus intereses financieros».
