Se estrenó en Netflix «Operación Hermanos», la misión israelí que rescató a los judíos etíopes de Sudán

Hace más de 35 años, agentes secretos de Israel abrieron un falso centro de buceo en las costas sudanesas del Mar Rojo con el único propósito de rescatar a los judíos etíopes de forma clandestina y traerlos al país.

Chris Evans, Haley Bennett, Michael K. William, Michiel Huisman, Alessandro Nivola, Greg Kinnear y Ben Kingsley son algunos de los actores de «The Red Sea Diving Resort».

Y añadió: «Fue el único momento en que los europeos sacaron a africanos del continente y no para ser esclavizados sino liberados”. Shimron escribió sobre su experiencia en el libro Éxodo del Mossad (2007).

En 1984, no mucho después de que finalizara la “Operación Hermanos”, el gobierno israelí comenzó la “Operación Moisés”, otra misión secreta para evacuar a unos 8.000 judíos de Etiopía atrapados en Sudán. Más tarde, en mayo de 1991, otra acción conocida como “Operación Salomon” rescató a más de 14.000 judíos etíopes.

Hasta ahora, esas operaciones eran mucho más conocidas que la narrada en la cinta. Quizás, la “Operación Hermanos” consiga esa misma popularidad.
