Una pareja judía ortodoxa fue acosada durante un viaje en tren en Manchester, Inglaterra, por un hombre que dijo ser «de Palestina» y los cuestionó por el conflicto que Israel y los palestinos mantienen en la Franja de Gaza.
De acuerdo a Arutz Sheva, la protesta antisemita contra la pareja, vestida con atuendo jasídico, fue filmada por otro pasajero en el Metrolink. El agresor llamó a la pareja a través del vagón del tren y les preguntó: «¿Saben ustedes sobre la situación en Gaza?»
El hombre, que dijo que era «de Palestina», fue desafiado por otros pasajeros para que se detuviera pero continuó su diatriba. «Solo estoy haciendo una pregunta», se defendió, y continuó: «Rabino, ven aquí, amigo».
La mujer de 27 años que filmó el incidente contó que lo denunció a Community Support Trust, una organización dedicada a recibir denuncias por delitos de odio antisemitas, y relató: «Este hombre se acercó a esta pareja jasídica judía y comenzó a decirles cosas sobre Palestina y lo que está sucediendo en Gaza. Yo le pregunté qué le daba el derecho de preguntarle a alguien sobre algo que está sucediendo a 3000 millas de distancia. Me indignaba lo que escuchaba. Otros dos hombres intervinieron y se interpusieron en su camino. Fue agradable ver que la gente estaba preparada para defender lo que era correcto».
