La «Marcha de la Vida» que recordó a las víctimas del Holocausto en Lituania

Alrededor de 1000 miembros de la “Marcha de la Vida” recordaron a las víctimas del Holocausto en la capital de Lituania.

El Día Nacional de Rememoración del Genocidio de los Judíos Lituanos es observado anualmente el día 23 de septiembre, fecha en la que el gueto de Vilna fue aniquilado en 1943 por los nazis. La mayoría de los 70 mil judíos de esa ciudad fue asesinada en el bosque de Ponary o enviada a campos de exterminio.

A la Marcha se unieron el primer ministro lituano, Saulius Skvernelis, y el presidente del parlamento lituano, Viktoras Prankietis.

Los participantes de la “Marcha de la Vida” provinieron de países como Alemania, Bélgica, Hungría, Austria, Grecia, e incluso Estados Unidos e Israel.

“Esta Marcha, junto con dos días de seminarios educativos y la asistencia de mucha gente joven que viene al Día Memorial del Holocausto Lituano, es una respuesta esencial que enfrenta las olas nacientes de odio contra nosotros”, afirmó el presidente de la Marcha de la Vida Internacional, Shmuel Rosenman.
