Vis a Vis dialogó con Ariel Isaak, quien es un joven dirigente con una extensa trayectoria que actualmente integra la agrupación UNA AMIA, que participará en las próximas elecciones de la AMIA. En la actualidad, Pola, como se lo conoce a Isaak, es el Director de políticas y prácticas contra la discriminación del INADI, trabajó en el Congreso Judío Latinoamericano, el INAI y fue Director ejecutivo del DAC (Departamento de asistencia comunitaria).
La palabra unidad es el comun denominador de los integrantes de la coalición e Isaak no es la excepción: «Quizá tengamos que ganar las elecciones el 5 de Abril de 2020 para que se entienda que nuestra intención de Unidad no va a cambiar luego de ese momento»; fue una de las expresiones que sintetizan la entrevista.
¿Qué te motivó para sumarte a UNA AMIA?
UNA AMIA es una propuesta superadora y diferente a todas las que conocí hasta ahora. Que diseña el presente sin olvidar el pasado y piensa en el futuro. Que no se queda en la demagogia de las palabras, sino, que pasa a la acción concreta.
Creo que debemos fortalecer nuestra identidad judía, ratificar sus valores y educar sobre ellos.
No es menor que a los partidos políticos comunitarios como Plural Jai, Avodá, Amia es de Todos, Fundación Judaica o el Seminario y la Asamblea Rabínica se sumen instituciones como Hebraica, Dor Jadash, Bet Hilel, Lamroth Hakol, Amijai y muchísimos independientes.
UNA AMIA me sedujo desde su génesis cuando entendí que era el espacio desde donde se va a hacer todo lo posible para garantizar la continuidad del pueblo judío de Buenos Aires y la Argentina.
- Venís trabajando en el INADI en el área de políticas contra la discriminación, además del DAC previamente, ¿La idea es aportar desde tu experiencia en esa área?
Mi intención es aportar desde donde sea necesario. Creo en los equipos de trabajo, en la experiencia y expertise de las personas para llegar al objetivo. No obstante, vengo con ganas de aprender y conocer para después poder proponer. Somos muchas las personas en UNA AMIA que queremos colaborar en el lugar que sea requerido
- En la presentación hablaste de mirar al futuro en busca de la unidad, ¿Lo crees posible? Es fundamental. A veces me agarro la cabeza y no entiendo cómo no logramos la unidad de todas las partes. Confío en la sensatez, madurez e inteligencia de nuestros referentes para entender que hay una necesidad imperiosa de darnos las manos, sumar las virtudes y fortalezas, e ir juntos para adelante. UNA AMIA tiene ese espíritu. Quizá tengamos que ganar las elecciones el 5 de Abril de 2020 para que se entienda que nuestra intención de Unidad no va a cambiar luego de ese momento.
- ¿Notás como algo normal que haya tres o tal vez cuatro listas para las elecciones de la AMIA?
Sinceramente, me concentro en mirar que puedo aportar para UNA AMIA. Todas las personas que cumplan con los requisitos tienen derecho a presentarse como candidatos a una elección, pero creo que tenemos que entender que no es ni da todo lo mismo.
UNA AMIA trabaja en proyectos hace un año y se ocupa de escuchar e incluir a más de 40 instituciones.
- ¿Cuáles son los proyectos en los que vos pensás que tienen que poner en práctica ni bien asuman en caso de ganar?
Hacer una AMIA superadora, distinta… Creo que debe ser más inclusiva, diversa, plural, joven, innovadora y dinámica. Generar espacios de pensamiento estratégico. Liderar seriamente, junto con otras Instituciones de la comunidad.Al comienzo un censo o estudio poblacional que permita tener un diagnóstico de la realidad en diferentes ámbitos y franjas etarias, y a partir de ahí, desarrollar un Master Plan con objetivos a corto, mediano y largo plazo para la comunidad judía Argentina.
- Uno de los déficit marcados en la dirigencia comunitaria es que no se transmite el legado y los dirigentes que gobiernan son los mismos que se presentaron en las últimas dos o tres elecciones en las instituciones centrales: ¿te sentís parte de una posible renovación?
El pasado ya lo conocemos, hay dirigentes que aportan trayectoria y experiencia y muchos jóvenes que proponemos ideas y sumamos nuestra energía para que se garanticen los acuerdos, la unidad, el trabajo serio. Tenemos que dejar de desconfiar entre nosotros y mirar para adelante. Tenemos una gran oportunidad y el que tenga un poquito de ganas y motivación y sea atrevido, UNA AMIA le abre la puerta de par en par para que se haga cargo con responsabilidad sobre el destino de nuestros abuelos y abuelas, padres, amigos y amigas, hijos e hijas y nietos y nietas

No hay que desmerecer lo realizado, pero claramente habría que realizar algunas acciones distintas para que ofrezcan otros resultados, pero esas acciones deben estar fundamentadas por datos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Comenzaría por una reforma del diseño organizacional de la comunidad, optimizando los recursos existentes y dándole prioridad a la educación y acción social.
