Una vez más, la ciudad de Buenos Aires se vió iluminada por el enorme candelabro de Januca, organizado por Jabad Argentina , este lunes al anochecer en la Plaza República Oriental del Uruguay se celebró Januca en comunidad, encendiendo la segunda vela.
Como ya es tradición, miles de personas se acercaron a la Plaza República Oriental del Uruguay en Buenos Aires para presenciar el encendido de la Janukiá por personalidades destacadas de la comunidad. Animados por la banda «Tiembla el Mohel» la enorme cantidad de asistentes cantó y bailó al ritmo de las tradicionales canciones judías.
Estuvo presente la Embajadora de Israel en Argentina Galit Ronen quien fue la primera oradora de la noche «es la noche de los milagros, ganamos unos pocos a un ejército, el milagro del aceite y otro milagro es que esta noche en todo el mundo estamos celebrando algo que sucedió hace 2000 años, aunque mas que milagro esto es un trabajo de todos nosotros»
Tambien estuvieron en la fiesta de Januca en Buenos Aires, encabezados por el Director general de Jabad Argentina, el Rab Tzvi Grunblatt el presidente de la AMIA Ariel Eichbaum «me siento orgulloso como judío de que haya un Beit Jabad en cada lugar del país y tambien de todo el trabajo de Vaad Hakehilot para que nadie se sienta desprotegido y pueda decir con orgullo que se siente y es judío» , el presidente de la DAIA Jorge Knoblovits, la subsecretaria de Derechos Humanos de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Pamela Malewicz, el presidente de Vaad Hakehilot Eliahu Hamra, el director ejecutivo de ORT Argentina Adrian Moscovich, el director para América Latina del Centro Wiesenthal Ariel Gelblung, la secretaria general de la Organización Sionista Argentina Sandra Sztatzman, la presidenta de Faccma Mónica Sucari y el diputado Waldo Wolff entre otros.
Todas estas personalidades fueron invitadas a encender la vela principal (shamash) y las dos primeras velas de las ocho de la Janukiá junto al Rabino Tzvi Grunblatt quien tambien ofreció un sentido discurso
Los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de participar en la construcción de la Janukiá de madera reciclada durante la fiesta, la que luego de utilizada para encender las luminarias del día, sería llevada a la sede de Ieladenu.
