La historia de la fortuna que robaron los oficiales nazis durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial quedó documentada en cientos de libros, documentales y hasta en películas de ficción. Oro, joyas, cuadros, y dinero en efectivo fueron apropiados por los seguidores del dictador Adolf Hitler y atesorados de diversas maneras. Uno de los lugares donde eligieron depositar los fondos fue en el actual Banco Credit Suisse, con sede en Zurich, Suiza.
Una reciente investigación difundida por el Centro Simon Wiesenthal dio a conocer una serie de abultados montos y transferencias que se realizaron por nazis asentados en Argentina durenta la primera mitad del siglo pasado. Según relata la documentación del Centro, el investigador argentino Pedro Filipuzzi compartió con el Dr. Shimon Samuels y el Dr. Ariel Gelblung, respectivamente Director de Relaciones Internacionales y Director para América Latina del Centro , una lista de nombres de unos 12.000 nazis en Argentina, muchos de los cuales habían aportado a una o más cuentas bancarias en el Schweitzerische Kreditanstalt, que luego se convirtiera en el Banco Credit Suisse, con sede en Zurich, Suiza.
El Sr. Filipuzzi descubrió por azar en un viejo depósito de la que fuera la Sede Nazi en Buenos Aires, lugar donde circunstancialmente trabajaba, una copia original de la Lista de 12.000, y la compartió con el Centro Wiesenthal.
Quiénes son los argentinos que elogian al nazismo «Durante la década de 1930, el régimen militar pro-nazi del Presidente José Félix Uriburu, apodado Von Pepe por germanófilo, y de su sucesor Agustín Pedro Justo, acogió con beneplácito una creciente presencia nazi en Argentina.
En 1938, este último fue reemplazado por el Presidente antinazi Roberto Ortiz, quien con el objeto de desnazificar la Argentina, estableció la Comisión Especial para la Investigación de Actividades Anti-Argentina», destacaron desde la organización.
Hasta 1938 había una cifra oficial de 1.400 miembros de la sección exterior del NSDAP/AO (Partido Nacional Socialista Obrero Alemán/Organización Exterior), con residencia en Argentina, así como más de 12.000 miembros de apoyo a la encubierta «Unión Alemana de Gremios » anteriormente denominada «UAG-Frente Alemán del Trabajo» (DAF-Deutsche Arbeitsfront) y otros 8.000 afiliados a otras organizaciones nazis. «Estas incluían desde empresas alemanas tales como IG Farben (el proveedor de gas Zyklon-B, utilizado para exterminar judíos y otras víctimas del nazismo), hasta organismos financieros como el ‘Banco Alemán Transatlántico’ y el ‘Banco Germánico de América del Sur’.
Estos dos bancos aparentemente sirvieron para la realización de las transferencias nazis camino a Suiza», explicó Samuels. Sale a la luz la «nota suicida» de Adolf Hitler, en la que se niega a abandonar Berlín Gelblung agregó: «Muchos de los nombres de la lista estaban relacionados con compañías pro-nazis incluidas en la Lista de Bienes Interdictos por Estados Unidos y el Reino Unido durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial».
La Comisión Especial de Investigación de Actividades Anti-Argentina mencionada anteriormente, secuestró esta documentación en un allanamiento efectuado en la sede de la Unión Alemana de Gremios. En el período 1941-1943, la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación, estudió e imprimió un Informe que incluía las transferencias bancarias nazis desde Argentina hacia Suiza. «Tenemos una copia de la lista de los nazis basados en Argentina, entre los que se encuentran varios titulares de cuentas de fondos que fueron enviados a la entonces Schweizerische Kreditanstalt, actual Banco Credit Suisse. En 1943, el Grupo de Oficiales Unidos pro-nazis (GOU – Grupo de Oficiales Unidos) presidido por el líder de la milicia fascista Pedro Pablo Ramírez, asumió el poder y disolvió la Comisión Especial, quemando sus hallazgos e informes, incluyendo las listas relacionadas con los nazis que habían sido impresas por la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación».
En una carta al Vicepresidente del Credit Suisse, Christian Küng, el Centro declaró: «Creemos que es muy probable que estas cuentas inactivas contengan dinero producto de saqueos a víctimas judías bajo las leyes de arianización de Nüremberg de la década de 1930», y agregó: «Somos conscientes que Uds. ya tienen como demandantes a presuntos herederos de los nazis de la Lista «. El Centro solicitó acceso a los archivos del Credit Suisse para resolver este asunto en nombre del número cada vez menor de sobrevivientes del Holocausto. «Solicité para nuestro investigador experto, el acceso a las cuentas producto de los fondos despojados. No hubo respuesta «, señaló Samuels.
«Por el buen nombre del Credit Suisse, esperamos que esta historia y los activos que aún existen del listado de 12.000 nazis y que han sido presuntamente saqueados, sean vistos bajo una nueva óptica «, concluyeron Samuels y Gelblung. «El Credit Suisse dice no reconocer a los primeros dueños de las cuentas pero con este material deberían reconocerse a sí mismo como herederos de cuentas de nazis», añadió Gelblung a PERFIL. En cuanto a si aún existen bancos o entidades financieras con pasado vinculado al nazismo, el director para América Latina del Centro Wiesenthal explicó: «Todas aquellas que trabajaron en aquella época algún tipo de relación tuvieron, porque la economía la movía Alemana entonces, es muy probable que haya existido algún tipo de relación».
