Con la firma de su presidente Jorge Knoblovits y el secretario Alejandro Zuchowicki, La DAIA condenó las agresiones antisemitas  sufridas hoy por el periodista Baby Etchecopar.

El presidente de la Organización Sionista Argentina, Sergio Pikholtz, también los repudió en sus redes.

El comunicado 

La DAIA condena las pintadas antisemitas registradas hoy en uno de los afiches de vía pública que promociona el programa del periodista «Baby» Etchecopar.

En la publicidad, ubicada en la intersección de la Avenida Pueyrredón y Arenales, aparecen cruces esvásticas junto a Estrellas de David. Califican al periodista como “lacra” y «s… sionista».

Agravios como el ocurrido constituyen una grave muestra de intolerancia a la libertad de expresión.  Y expresan una manifestación clara de la judeofobia presente en parte de nuestra sociedad. Mereciendo la condena de todos aquellos que trabajamos por la construcción de una sociedad plural e igualitaria.

 


Las agresiones a Etchecopar recrudecieron luego del cruce que tuvo con la funcionaria Miriam Lewin, quien es Defensora del Público desde Junio de este año.

Lewin había manifestado que: «El caso de Baby es anacrónico, y apuntamos a que no sea escuchado en la sociedad. Por eso hablamos de cambio cultural». El comentario de Lewin fue en respuesta a una frase que había formulado Etchecopar en la La Noche de Mirtha, conducido por Juana Viale : «Cristina Kirchner es el cáncer de la Argentina». Luego del exabrupto, el conductor pidió disculpas públicamente en su programa de radio.
