Con el objetivo de reforzar la asistencia de familias y personas mayores en situación de vulnerabilidad, AMIA distribuyó 1.100 tarjetas alimentarias a los beneficiarios del Servicio Social de la institución, y de la Fundación Tzedaká, Fundación Jabad y Guemilut Hasadim.
La entrega de tarjetas se realizó tras la firma del convenio que la entidad realizó con la Secretaría de Inclusión Social del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social de la Nación. Prevé diferentes líneas de ayuda para poder asistir a quienes hoy están sufriendo, de manera más severa, el impacto de la crisis sanitaria y social.
«La población destinataria de esta ayuda reside en la ciudad de Buenos Aires y en el Gran Buenos Aires. Podrán utilizar la tarjeta magnética habilitada para la compra de productos alimenticios en diversos comercios adheridos en su zona de residencia». Así explicaron desde el área de Programas Sociales de AMIA.

Desde que se decretó la pandemia la demanda social comenzó a crecer exponencialmente. La institución está trabajando de manera coordinada y en red junto a otras organizaciones comunitarias. Es para dar respuesta a las necesidades más urgentes. «Nuestra prioridad sigue siendo brindar soluciones a las necesidades que presentan las personas que son más vulnerables al impacto de la pandemia. Los niños y los adultos mayores principalmente», destacó al respecto Ariel Eichbaum, presidente de AMIA.
De manera cotidiana, la institución envía a los domicilios viandas de alimentos y medicamentos. Lo hace a través de un sistema de distribución planificado especialmente para esta emergencia.
Asimismo, incrementó la línea de subsidios económicos para la población más vulnerable. Además se mantienen vigentes una serie convenios con diferentes áreas del Estado nacional y del gobierno porteño.
En palabras de Fanny Kohon, directora de Programas Sociales de AMIA, toda la tarea que se realiza desde su sector está enfocada en dar respuestas y promover oportunidades para lograr la equidad y la inclusión. «Por eso, reforzamos todos nuestros proyectos sociales, consolidamos el trabajo conjunto con otras organizaciones judías del país, y orientamos a las personas para que puedan acceder a las prestaciones que el Estado les ofrece», concluyó.
