Los datos del Servicio de Empleo de Israel muestran que a unos 82.000 se les ha otorgado licencia no remunerada y 17.000 de ellos fueron despedidos o dimitieron. Desde el endurecimiento del cierre, alrededor de 40.000 personas perdieron el empleo. Los sectores más perjudicados: la educación y la formación.
El Servicio de Empleo informó este lunes que en la última jornada se registraron 18.566 nuevos solicitantes de empleo. Desde el endurecimiento del confinamiento se reportaron 39.308. Desde el inicio del cierre, que comenzó el domingo 27 de diciembre, se registró un total de 99.234 desempleados.
Según los datos, a 81.923 de los desempleados se les ha otorgado una licencia no remunerada desde el comienzo del cierre, lo que representa un 82,5% de todos los solicitantes de empleo, en tanto que 17.311 (17,5%) de ellos fueron despedidos o dimitieron.
El organismo señaló que desde el inicio del tercer cierre y hasta la última jornada, los vendedores habían sido los más perjudicados, y hoy representan el 19,9% de los nuevos registrados en el Servicio de Empleo de Israel.

Sin embargo, desde el último día, los trabajadores de los ámbitos de la educación y la formación superaron a los vendedores. Hoy constituyen el 22,4% del total de los nuevos solicitantes de empleo. En el informe también se indicó que la tasa de desempleo en los ámbitos de la educación se ha más que cuadruplicado desde el endurecimiento del cierre, ya que el jueves el porcentaje de desocupación era de solo el 5,1%.
En declaraciones para Ynet realizadas la semana pasada, el ministro de Finanzas, Israel Katz, se expresó al respecto y manifestó su oposición a subsidiar a los empleadores.
«¿De qué serviría si le diera dinero al empleador? No funcionaría. Ningún comerciante que cierre retendrá al empleado aunque se le pague un tercio del salario. Sin embargo, los empleadores pueden otorgar licencias no remuneradas y poner a trabajar a los trabajadores inmediatamente después del fin del cierre. Abrir la economía es el principal remedio. Cuando las vacunas alcancen un nivel significativo, se darán incentivos y todos volveremos a trabajar», manifestó Katz.
