En las primeras horas del día de hoy falleció el querido Rabino Baruj Plavnick Z´L, quien se contagió de coronavirus y estaba internado desde hace algunas semanas. Peleó por su vida pero no pudo superar la neumonía bilateral. Tenía tan solo 70 años.

Plavnick era una persona muy querida, generosa y bondadosa. La Fundación Pardés, presidida por él, le abría las puertas a todos sin condicionamientos.

La familia Levint lo cuenta de esta manera a través de Claudio: «Mis hijos hicieron Bar y Bat Mitzvá con Baruj en Pardés. No solo se ocupó de prepararlos, también les compró la ropa a todos y los vistió de pies a cabeza y prepararon un hermoso catering. Yo era viudo. Tengo 5 hijos y no podía pagarlo. Con los años, uno de mis hijos, Leandro, tuvo cáncer. Baruj estuvo aguardando mientras lo operaban. Lo asistió espiritualmente durante su recuperación. Cuando Leandro se casó (foto), Baruj fue el rabino, por supuesto. ¡Mira si no voy a tener un enorme afecto por él! ¡Es un tipo espectacular! Mi agradecimiento a Baruj Plavnick y a Pardés es eterno y mi dolor infinito», expresó.

Cuando llegaron las vacunas abrió un centro de vacunación en la Fundación. Es uno de los 29 ámbitos de vacunación coordinados por la Subsecretaría de Derechos Humanos y pluralismo cultural de CABA. Muchos reconocen ese gran gesto y que se hayan salvado vidas por tener un lugar donde vacunarse.

Las redes se inundaron de pedidos de mensaje para este rabino, muy querido en la comunidad. Plavnick Z´L fue uno de los rabinos que brindaron apoyo espiritual a los soldados judíos durante la guerra de las Malvinas junto al Rab Tzvi Grunblatt.

Finalmente el coronavirus pudo más y se lo llevó. Se fue un «mensch». Su fue «uno de los buenos». Y el vacío que deja será imposible de llenar.
