El Ministerio de Sanidad de Israel emitió el domingo una seria advertencia de viaje para las Seychelles, Argentina y Rusia debido a los brotes del coronavirus en esos países.

A menos que se produzca una mejora significativa de la situación, los tres países pasarán a formar parte de una lista de los llamados “países rojos”, considerados los de mayor peligro de infección por el virus.

Viajar a los países rojos desde Israel sólo es posible con el permiso de un comité gubernamental especial. El regreso desde esos lugares requiere dos semanas de cuarentena, incluso para quienes se hayan vacunado contra el COVID-19.

La advertencia se produjo tras una evaluación de la situación el pasado jueves, según el ministerio.

También advirtió de la necesidad de no viajar a países africanos y de América Central y del Sur, así como a Grecia, Egipto, Alemania, Serbia, Polonia, Croacia y Rumanía.

En el sitio web del Ministerio de Sanidad (enlace en hebreo) se puede encontrar una lista completa de directrices para viajar a países de todo el mundo. Hasta ahora, sólo Ucrania, Etiopía, Brasil, India, Sudáfrica, México y Turquía se consideran países rojos.

Rusia ha sido uno de los países más afectados por la pandemia de coronavirus, con el sexto mayor número de casos del mundo.

Argentina se ha visto afectada por una oleada de infecciones que ha hecho que los nuevos casos diarios pasen de unos 5.000 en marzo a 35.000 la semana pasada, informó el periódico The Guardian.

Las muertes diarias alcanzaron la cifra récord de 744 el pasado martes y el miércoles se identificaron 40.000 nuevos casos, el tercer mayor número de casos diarios del mundo después de India y Brasil. Con más de 73.600 muertes, la cifra de Argentina es la cuarta más alta del mundo.
