Las FDI confirmaron la muerte de dos de los soldados heridos en el ataque al puesto de control de Tayasir.
Uno de ellos es Ofer Yung, de 39 años y oriundo de Tel Aviv.
Hasta el momento las autoridades no difundieron la identidad del otro militar que falleció.
Ofer era comandante de escuadrón del Batallón 8211 de la Brigada Efraim.

Al menos otros 8 soldados resultaron heridos en un ataque con disparos ocurrido el martes por la mañana cerca de Tayasir, en la carretera entre Samaria y el valle del Jordán.
Según los primeros detalles del lugar, el atacante, que vestía un chaleco antibalas y estaba armado con un fusil de asalto M-16, tendió una emboscada a dos militares que salían de la instalación militar.
Se cree que el terrorista entró en la zona durante la noche y esperó hasta la madrugada a que los soldados se fueran. Disparó contra los dos militares y los hirió.
El terrorista logró infiltrarse en el recinto militar, una instalación con una torre de vigilancia, donde operaban los soldados.
Una vez en el recinto, abrió fuego y se produjo un tiroteo entre él y las fuerzas. El tiroteo se prolongó durante varios minutos hasta que las fuerzas lograron eliminar al terrorista dentro del recinto.
