Las policías española y marroquí han detenido cerca de Madrid y en varias ciudades marroquíes a catorce supuestos miembros de una red que captaba y enviaba combatientes para la organización yihadista Estado Islámico (ISIS).
Según han informado a la agencia Efe fuentes policiales, la operación se ha desarrollado esta madrugada en el municipio de San Martín de la Vega y en las ciudades marroquíes de Fez, Casablanca, Nador, Alhucemas y Driush.
Las investigaciones se han centrado en una red que captaba y enviaba combatientes extranjeros para unirse a las filas de ISIS en la región sirio-iraquí que mantiene bajo su control, informó el ministerio del Interior.
La operación en España, que sigue abierta, ha sido coordinada por el titular del juzgado número 3 de la Audiencia Nacional.

El pasado 28 de julio, el ministro del Interior español, Jorge Fernández Díaz, indicaba que 126 combatientes terroristas, nacionales o residentes, se habían desplazado desde España a zonas de conflicto para luchar con el Estado Islámico, y de ellos, 25 murieron.
Desde Marruecos, según la policía marroquí, se ha confirmado la partida de 1.350 voluntarios para la yihad, de los que 286 han muerto en combate.
Este año se han desarrollado en España una veintena de operaciones contra el terrorismo yihadista con más de medio centenar de detenciones.
En 2014 hubo dos operativos conjuntos entre España y Marruecos (marzo y septiembre) en el que se desmantelaron redes yihadistas.
