La Unidad de CiberAtaque de Israel detuvo a un adolescente judío israelí-estadounidense por haber realizado las amenazas telefónicas de bomba contra instituciones judías en Estados Unidos.
El arresto fue posible en parte por información del FBI. El joven, que reside en Ashkelon, el sur de Israel, es también sospechado de hacer un llamado de una amenaza de bomba a los vuelos de Delta.
La policía se apoderó de computadoras y otros artículos que supuestamente le permitieron perpetrar los hechos de una manera que hizo difícil para la policía localizarlo.
El sospechoso ha vivido en Israel muchos años. El ejército se negó a reclutarlo después de encontrarlo incapacitado para el servicio. El motivo del sospechoso es aún desconocido. La policía también detuvo a su padre para ser interrogado.
La Corte de distrito Rishon Letzion dictaminará hoy la extensión de su custodia.
