El Jazz de New Orleans y sus grandes creadores.
El Sábado 5 de agosto, 21hs, gran show de Jazz.
La «Tranguay Jazz & Blues» se fundó en mayo de 2013 y tuvo su bautismo de fuego el 21 de Junio de 2013 en el Tranvía Histórico de Buenos Aires (de ahí su nombre). Conformada por apasionados del jazz tradicional que interpretan un repertorio propio de este estilo tiene como principales características el ensamble equilibrado, las emocionadas improvisaciones, los diálogos entre instrumentos y el scat que hacen de cada presentación de la Tranguay un encantador paseo por las anécdotas, los sonidos y el swing del jazz de los años 20. La Tranguay se inspira en los grupos propios de los albores del jazz que estaban compuestos por los pioneros del género: Louis Armstrong (Hot Five & Hot Seven), Clarence Williams (Blue Five), King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington y Fletcher Henderson. Sin embargo, La Tranguay no lo hace como copistas de estos testimonios, sino inspirándose en la libertad de esos creadores para ir generando el propio «Estilo Tranguay».
En su cuarto año, y presentando su cuarto CD, “Polenta”, se recrean los grandes temas de los inicios del jazz en New Orleans, y su posterior paso al resto de EEUU.
Coronando el clima de su música, se presenta acompañada por dos grandes Bailarines y Coreógrafos: Maxi Prado y María Eugenia Della Latta.
