Cinco argentinos fueron asesinados este martes en un atentado terrorista perpetrado por el fundamentalismo islámico en Nueva York, Estados Unidos.
El gobierno argentino confirmó las identidades de las víctimas. Son: Hernán Diego Mendoza, Diego Enrique Angelini, Alejandro Damián Pagnucco, Ariel Erlij y Hernán Ferrucci.
Martín Ludovico Marro, otro argentino que reside en Nueva York, se encuentra internado fuera de peligro en el Presbiterian Hospital de Manhattan.
Según supo Infobae, los argentinos que murieron en el ataque formaban parte de un grupo de amigos que estudiaron juntos en el Instituto Politécnico de Rosario -un prestigioso colegio secundario- y que habían viajado para festejar 30 años de egresados.
Las primeras versiones indican que los hombres, de 47 y 48 años, realizaban una excursión en bicicleta cuando fueron arrollados por una camioneta que conducía el terrorista Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov.
«El Consulado General sigue trabajando en permanente contacto con las autoridades policiales y el centro hospitalario que recibió al afectado, así como con los familiares en Argentina», informó la Cancillería.

El presidente Mauricio Macri envió sus condolencias a través de un mensaje en redes sociales: «Profundamente conmovido por las trágicas muertes de esta tarde en Nueva York. Nos ponemos a disposición de los familiares de las víctimas argentinas».
Y agregó: «Volvemos a hacer un llamado de paz para que estos horrores terminen».
