Con la finalidad de rescatar la memoria y revalorizar la intensa vida judía antes de la Shoa, poniendo especial relieve en cómo nació y se fortaleció la práctica del deporte en los ámbitos comunitarios en la primera parte del siglo XX, el jueves 5 de abril se presentó en el Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti (ex ESMA) la obra teatral EL PARTIDO QUE NO FUE, una iniciativa conjunta de Hacoaj y Macabi, que contó con la presencia de más de 400 espectadores, las mayor parte de ellos chicos de las divisiones inferiores de fútbol de ambos clubes, acompañados por sus padres.
La excelente puesta teatral y multimedial relató con profunda emoción la historia del Maccabi de Varsovia (Polonia) y el Hakoah de Viena (Austria), instituciones deportivas que nacieron como respuesta de acción, en un contexto marcado por el antisemitismo, ya que los clubes tradicionales de ambos países prohibían el ingreso de socios judíos. Impulsados por el concepto del “Judaísmo Muscular” acuñado por Max Nordau y Teodoro Herzl, las jóvenes generaciones judías de entonces se propusieron comenzar a desarrollarse en un campo en el que, hasta entonces, no habían incursionado: el del deporte. Y lo hicieron con gran éxito. Maccabi Varsovia llegó a contar con 3.000 socios que practicaban lucha libre, esgrima, tenis, remo, básquet y fútbol. Hakoah Viena, con más de 5.000 miembros, destacó fuertemente en natación y fútbol. Su equipo, integrado totalmente por judíos, compitió en la liga profesional de Austria, llegó a ser campeón en 1925 y descolló en distintas giras por Europa y América. Ambas instituciones desarrollaron fuertes lazos, lo que las llevó a programar un partido de fútbol, proyecto que quedó trunco debido al advenimiento del nazismo.
Más de 80 años después, Hacoaj y Macabi de Argentina, gracias a la iniciativa e inquietud de tres de sus voluntarios: Leandro Witlis, Fabián Verednik y Marcelo Katz, tuvieron la fantástica de idea de recrear la historia del “Partido que no fue”. Para ello se pusieron en contacto con la Secretaría de Derechos Humanos y Pluralismo Cultural del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos de la Nación, donde encontraron inmediato apoyo de su Secretario, Lic. Claudio Avruj. “Uno de los factores importantes que hicieron posible este proyecto fue la capacidad de colaborar y de cooperar entre Hacoaj y Macabi, poniendo por delante nuestras afinidades y dando especial relevancia al objetivo de contar la historia de nuestros orígenes a los más chicos”, señaló Marcelo Katz.
En los fines de semana del 7 y 8, 14 y 15 de abril, antes y después de Iom Hashoá, equipos de fútbol de ambos clubes saldrán a la cancha con las camisetas históricas de Hakoah y Maccabi, y leerán un texto alusivo. Esto ocurrirá en los partidos de todas las ligas que disputan: FACCMA, LIDE y Escobarense.
Al inicio del acto, antes de la presentación de la obra teatral, encendieron una vela de recordación los Embajadores de las Repúblicas de Austria, Polonia y Hungría, junto con el Lic. Avruj, los voluntarios organizadores del evento y los presidentes de Hacoaj, Osvaldo Ofman y Macabi Pablo Weinstein. También contamos con la presencia de la presidente de FACCMA, Mónica Sucari y de autoridades de instituciones socio deportivas y centrales comunitarias.
Como orgullosos continuadores de la historia iniciada por nuestros abuelos en la Europa judía, más de un siglo atrás, hoy podemos decir que el legado de “EL PARTIDO QUE NO FUE” siguió replicándose en los miles y miles de encuentros de cuatro generaciones de deportistas de todos los clubes judíos de la Argentina.
