Facundo Yabes: »No te acostumbrás nunca a estar sin la familia»

Facundo Yabes, jugador del Arad de la Tercera División de Israel, dialogó con VIS A VIS acerca de su actualidad en el fútbol de Israel, cómo llegó al fútbol de ese país, comparó las costumbres y el estilo del Estado Judío con Argentina y recordó los tiempos que jugaba en FACCMA.
Yabes jugó en el Club CASA y Hebraica en FACCMA, mientras que hizo inferiores en Laprida de Villa Martelli, River Plate, Club Social y Deportivo Caseros y Comunicaciones. Luego pasó al Beitar Jerusalén, Macabi Yavne, Bney Eilay y, actualmente, en el Hapoel Arad.

– ¿Cómo se dio la posibilidad de irte a jugar a Israel?

En el año 2007 fueron los Panamericanos en Argentina, ‘Tute’ Zolotow era el entrenador.  Antes de que empezara ese torneo, no tenía pensado disputarlos ya que estaba jugando en River. Me terminaron dejando libre, fue un bajón enorme, y terminé yendo a los Panamericanos. Tuve la suerte de jugar y gustar y un tiempo después, yo ya jugaba en Comunicaciones, me vino a buscar a mi casa un scouter del Beitar Jerusalen, Eitán Mizrahi. En su momento le dije que no, hasta que fui viendo que en ‘Comu’ había muchos problemas institucionales. Me senté con mi familia y decidimos llamar al scouter, quien aceptó en el instante y tres días después estaba viajando a Israel.

– ¿Qué podés contar sobre el estilo de fútbol de Israel, las costumbres de ese país y cómo te arreglaste con el idioma? 

El fútbol de acá, en comparación al argentino, hay un abismo. En Israel se juega muy lento, es totalmente distinto pero lindo y entretenido. Yo que pasé por Primera División, Segunda y Tercera, vi de todo – entre risas. Cuando viví en Jerusalén, los viernes y sábados, por ser Shabat, es un pueblo fantasma. En todos los bares y toda la gente respetan muchísimo el hecho de no mezclar comida con leche y carne. Hasta el menos ortodoxo de Israel respeta eso. En cuanto al idioma…uf, no lo estudié nada. Lo aprendí en el día a día y ahora, después de bastante tiempo, ya lo hablo fluido y sé leer. Me falta aprender a escribir. Además, hay dos cosas que me sorprendieron. No hay semáforo y, al pisar la calle por donde tenés que cruzar, los autos frenan siempre. Y no existen los ladrones literalmente.

¿Qué ventajas y desventajas tiene irse allá?
¡Tocaste mi punto débil! Mirá, la familia, estés el tiempo que sea lejos, no te acostumbrás nunca a estar sin ellos. Si alguien te dice que uno se acostumbra, para mi no es verdad, siempre es lindo tener a la familia cerca y lo mismo de los amigos. Desde que te vas, extrañás todo. 

Las cosas positivas que tiene esta experiencia es que, al estar solo, aprendés a valorar muchas cosas, a crecer, a arreglarte solo con todo. Surge algún problema y no tenés a tu familia para que te solucione nada. Creo que para la vida eso sirve mucho.
Gracias a Dios, creo que ahora debo tener amigos por todo el Mundo gracias a poder jugar acá. Eso es buenísimo. En los equipos de acá hay una mezcla de idiomas pero todos compartimos el día a día y después de los entrenamientos somos como una familia, todo el tiempo juntos. Es muy difícil para alguien que viene de cualquier otro lado poder adaptarse a Israel. Pero si lo hacés, lo disfrutas un montón.

¿Qué recuerdos te trae tus tiempos en el fútbol de FACCMA?

Los mejores. Ahí disfrutaba de verdad, con amigos de toda la vida, sin muchas presiones, salir y divertirse. Sin dudas los mejores tiempos eran esos. Aparte teníamos un gran equipo. Llegué a FACCMA por mi hermano. Jugábamos en el Club CASA y como él es un fenómeno jugando, Gustavo Szpigiel se lo llevó a Hebraica y yo me colé ahí – entre risas.
