Militantes bereberes han constituido en Rabat un observatorio de lucha contra el antisemitismo, después de que recientemente naciese en el país un centro contra la normalización de las relaciones con Israel.
En un comunicado, el observatorio indica que el objetivo es denunciar las actitudes antisemitas de algunos ciudadanos marroquíes, así como sensibilizar a la ciudadanía sobre la realidad del conflicto palestino-israelí.
Además, pretende consolidar los lazos con los judíos marroquíes de Israel, 900.0000 según el observatorio, animarles a que visiten Marruecos y ayudar a aquellos que lo deseen a instalarse en este país magrebí.
Su creación se produce una semana después de que tres activistas bereberes de Marruecos invitados a participar en una mesa redonda en una universidad de Israel (un Estado con el que Rabat no tiene ninguna relación desde el año 2000) viesen su visita anulada tras la polémica mediática desatada previa a su viaje.
“Lo sucedido es algo intolerable que no se puede aceptar”, comentó a Efe, Omar Louzi, presidente del observatorio, quien añadió que la creación del centro es una respuesta directa al otro observatorio que “apoya la idea de que los marroquíes no mantengan contacto con ningún judío, por lo que nosotros decimos: ‘Basta’”.
Sin embargo, el observatorio contra la normalización con Israel ha dejado claro en todo momento que no es antisemita, pero sí antiisraelí.
“No tenemos nada contra los judíos, a excepción de los que ocupan Palestina y quienes los apoyan, y estamos muy orgullosos de la historia plural de Marruecos, árabe, bereber y hebrea”, explicó recientemente a Efe su presidente, Ahmed Uyhman.
Las relaciones con Israel son un asunto que genera continuas polémicas, y los que abogan abiertamente por relaciones “normalizadas” son muy pocos, principalmente activistas bereberes, mientras que entre los partidos políticos la hostilidad hacia Israel es la norma, y coexiste con la defensa y reivindicación del judaísmo marroquí.
Por su parte, el rey Mohamed VI de Marruecos ha abandonado toda veleidad mediadora en el conflicto palestino-israelí y no se ha pronunciado hasta el momento sobre un debate que no parece estar entre sus principales desvelos. (Diariojudio.com / PorIsrael.org)
