La derecha de Israel hará una manifestación en Tel Aviv a dos días de los comicios

La derecha manifestará en uno de los principales feudos de la izquierda, la famosa plaza Itzhak Rabin de Tel Aviv, en la que será una demostración de fuerza a sólo dos días de las elecciones anticipadas.

Convocada por la Plataforma por la Tierra de Israel, que reúne a dirigentes y activistas de varias formaciones nacionalistas, los organizadores aspiran a reunir a decenas de miles de personas para trasladar el mensaje de que sólo la derecha garantizará la integridad territorial al oeste del río Jordán.

«No crean en lo que len. No dejen que la desesperación les venza ni crean que las elecciones han terminado y en unos días Isaac Herzog y Tzipi Livni ocuparán la jefatura del Gobierno. En la manifestación participará la verdadera derecha», dijo el líder del partido Habait Heihudí (Hogar Judío), Naftalí Bennet, con vistas a la convocatoria.

El primer ministro, Biniamín Netanyahu, será sin embargo el principal orador del mitin, después de haber confirmado su participación.

Fuentes próximas a este partido ya había asegurado que no se descartaba que lo hiciera dada la necesidad de fortalecer su imagen frente a Bennett y recuperarse de la reciente caída en las encuestas, que dan al Likud entre 20 y 21 escaños, cuatro menos que al Campo Sionista que encabezan el laborista Herzog y la centrista Livni.

La semana pasada, unos 40 mil simpatizantes de este frente se concentraron en la misma plaza para exigir un «cambio» de gobierno y abrir un «horizonte de esperanza» para Israel después de seis años con Netanyahu al frente del Ejecutivo nacional.

La manifestación está convocada para las 20.00 horas en el simbólico lugar donde en 1995 un terrorista judío asesinó al primer ministro Rabin por su postura negociadora en

el fracasado proceso de paz de Oslo.
La derecha abogará por la preservación de la bíblica Tierra de Israel bajo soberanía israelí y con un ejército fuerte capaz de hacer frente a las amenazas en la región y, entre ellas, la que representa el programa nuclear de Irán.

En ese sentido, los principales dirigentes hablarán del peligro de un gobierno que entregue territorios y evacúe asentamientos.

«Contrariamente al espíritu alicaído que se vio en la manifestación de la semana pasada (la de la izquierda), la de hoy potenciará la sensación de unidad entre los partidos de la derecha», explicó una fuente de la organización en declaraciones al diario Yediot Aharonot.

Aunque los sondeos dan la victoria al Campo Sionista, la fragmentación parlamentaria obligará probablemente a la formación de un nuevo Gobierno derechista, si bien el Likud teme verse reducido y despojado de su influencia dentro del nuevo gobierno, donde el más nacionalista Bennett actuaría de mano derecha de Netanyahu.

Además, algunas analistas temen que sin un Likud fuerte y casi con el mismo número de candidatos que sus principales rivales del centroizquierda, el jefe del Estado, Reuvén Rivlin, opte por entregar el mandato de gobierno a Herzog por una mera cuestión de ética.

Dentro del arco derechista que reúne a colonos y nacionalistas, otro de los dirigentes que se ha sumado a la convocatoria es Eli Yishai, del ultra ortodoxo Yahad, escindido del Shas y que se ha aliado con un pequeño partido de una fuerte ideología de extrema derecha.

Por el contrario, no ha confirmado públicamente su participación el partido Israel Beitenu, que encabeza el ministro de Exteriores, Avigdor Lieberman, también en la derecha pero que en los últimos dos años ha optado por posturas más moderadas en cuanto a un arreglo con los palestinos.
