El primer ministro israelí, Binyamin Netanyahu, condenó hoy con dureza el ataque contra dos viviendas palestinas en el que murió un bebé de año y medio, y resultaron heridos de gravedad sus padres y hermano de cuatro años.
«Estoy sorprendido por este acto reprensible y terrorífico. Este es un acto de terrorismo en todos los aspectos. El Estado de Israel toma una posición fuerte contra el terrorismo, más allá de quien sean los autores. He ordenado a las Fuerzas de Seguridad que utilicen todos los medios a su alcance para detener a los asesinos y llevarlos ante la Justicia», señaló en un comunicado.
La nota agrega que el Gobierno israelí «está unido en su fuerte oposición a estos actos deplorables y horribles», y envía sus condolencias, en nombre de los ciudadanos israelíes, a la familia de Alí Darawshe, a la que desea una pronta recuperación.
Por su parte, el vocero del Ejército israelí, teniente coronel Peter Lerner, señaló que «este ataque contra civiles no es más que un acto bárbaro de terrorismo. Hemos iniciado una investigación exhaustiva par encontrar a los terroristas y llevarlos ante la Justicia».
El ataque se produjo esta madrugada cuando un grupo lanzó cócteles molotov contra dos viviendas palestinas en la localidad de Duma, cerca de Nablus, provocando la muerte del bebé y quemaduras a tres víctimas, algunas de ellas en más del 70 por ciento de su cuerpo.
Los ataques de hoy acontecen después de que el martes se demoliesen dos edificios en la colonia de Beit El y se evacuase a cientos de colonos que protestaban en un asentamiento abandonado hace diez años en el norte de Cisjordania ocupada al que exigían volver.
