Tras el papelón de comparar al acuerdo nuclear de las potencias nucleares con Irán con el apaciguamiento británico de las políticas de Hitler, el Ministerio de Defensa, encabezado por Avigdor Liberman, buscó clarificar: “Nunca intentamos trazar tales comparaciones. Pedimos disculpas si fue malinterpretado”.
El Ministerio de Defensa publicó un comunicado para clarificar una declaración previa en la que comparó el acuerdo nuclear con Teherán con la política de apaciguamiento del primer ministro Joseph Chamberlain y la firma del pacto de Múnich de 1938 con Hitler.
“El comunicado anterior no tenía intenciones de hacer comparaciones directas, ni en el plano histórico, ni a nivel personal. Nos disculpamos si fue mal interpretado”, indica el anuncio de la cartera dirigida por Liberman.
“A la luz de la mala interpretación que se ha difundido en los medios de comunicación de la declaración, que hacía referencia a los Acuerdos de Múnich, deseamos aclarar”, continúa el comunicado.
“El Estado de Israel y el aparato de seguridad israelí continuarán trabajando en estrecha cooperación con Estados Unidos, en correspondencia con nuestro profundo reconocimiento y respeto mutuo.
