Libertad se renueva

La Comunidad del Templo Libertad (Congregación Israelita de la República Argentina – CIRA), avanza en su camino de renovación. Esta semana, al término de Shavuot, su asamblea general ordinaria de socios eligió a la nueva Comisión Directiva que desde ahora estará presidida por Enrique Jurkowski, quien estará secundado por Lucas Werthein y Mario Volosin, como vicepresidentes.

El nuevo equipo, que tendrá mandato hasta 2019, se completa con Carlos Vitas (secretario), Marcelo Treguer (prosecretario), Enrique Klein (tesorero) y Alejandro Pitashny (protesorero). Además, fueron designados como vocales titulares Nicolás Glazman, Néstor Lemesoff, Juan Marcelo Cosin, Inés Sus de Kohen y como vocales suplentes, Gustavo Michanie y Damián Glanz. Patricia Holzman y Marcelo Svidovsky quedaron a cargo de la revisoría de cuentas.

La Dirección Ejecutiva de Libertad continuará en manos del seminarista Hernán Rustein, que demás de coordinar las actividades comunitarias es moré (maestro) y jazán (cantor) del Templo.

La comunidad, con el acompañamiento y liderazgo de sus rabinos Shimon Moguilevsky, Sergio Bergman y Damián Karo, resolvió conformar un equipo de trabajo intergeneracional, con representantes de la comisión anterior, jóvenes integrantes del Templo Libertad y miembros de la congregación que participan activamente de la vida cotidiana de la institución. Ellos liderarán esta nueva etapa de construcción comunitaria.
Con el impulso de la renovación, la Comisión trabajará para consolidar sus proyectos vigentes y sumar actividades que permitan ofrecer nuevos lazos para que la sociedad argentina, y porteña en particular, pueda vincularse con la experiencia judía.Hoy, Libertad tiene dos minianim (espacios de oración), uno tradicional con tres tefilot diarias y otro inclusivo que se reúne en Kabalat Shabat y en shajarit de Shabat; es la casa del Museo Judío de Buenos Aires, del grupo de acción solidaria Arevim y de Judíos Argentinos Gays (JAG). También tiene una amplia oferta de talleres y clases, como Introducción al Judaísmo, Sabios de la Mishná y el Talmud, clases de Mishná, cursos de Talmud-Torá para niños y niñas que se preparan para su bar/bat mitzvá, encuentros para el estudio semanal de la Torá, clínicas de cocina para las fiestas, cursos intensivos e introductorios a la historia, las tradiciones y la literatura rabínica de cada festividad, además de las tradicionales celebraciones de todas las fiestas del calendario hebreo. Y como desde hace más de un siglo y medio, sigue siendo el lugar elegido para las celebraciones familiares, como el paso por la Jupá.

La elección de las nuevas autoridades coincide con un acontecimiento histórico para Libertad: la renovación y restauración del órgano del tabernáculo, un instrumento musical único que hace a la singularidad de la sinagoga de la comunidad más antigua de la Argentina.
