La historia de inmigración, la integración con la sociedad argentina, los exilios y genocidios sufridos, así como las distintas corrientes religiosas son aspectos que compartimos y nos identifican tanto a judíos como a armenios», comentó Valeria Grimberg, Directora del programa Nuevas Generaciones del Congreso Judío Latinoamericano (CJL) tras una actividad conjunta entre jóvenes armenios y judíos.
El pasado miércoles, jóvenes del CJL y del Centro Armenio en Argentina mantuvieron un encuentro en el cual dialogaron sobre sus costumbres y la historia de sus comunidades en el país.
«Fue sumamente enriquecedor y nos permitió compartir las distintas miradas que tenemos como jóvenes sobre los distintos temas que tocan a ambas comunidades», expresó Grimberg.
Participaron del encuentro el vicepresidente del Centro Armenio de Argentina, José Luis Abecian, y Teddy Karagozian, empresario textil y miembro activo de la comunidad armenia, quien destacó que «la gente que trabaja dentro de una comunidad tiene la obligación de comprender más profundamente el por qué y para qué de la existencia de la misma».
Los participantes del evento compartieron una degustación de gastronomía tradicional judía y realizaron actividades de integración. Se trató del segundo encuentro entre jóvenes de las dos comunidades, el primero se realizó en el Centro Armenio.
