Ary, Daniel y Judith Nosovitzky se dedicaron toda la vida a la venta de envases para alimentos. Pero como las de muchos, sus vidas cambiaron con la pandemia. Cuando los tres hermanos vieron que el COVID-19 había llegado a la Argentina, se alarmaron. Pero no se quedaron quietos, también comenzaron a actuar.
“El viernes 20 de marzo – cuando se decretó la cuarentena – nos llegaron unas fotos de médicos de España que estaban atendiendo con barbijos y unas máscaras. Estas mascarillas tenían una pantalla de lámina de PET y una vincha inyectada o impresa en 3D. Como el primer paso de nuestra producción de envases es la fabricación de bobinas de PET, nos pusimos a desarrollar una máscara parecida a la de la foto para ayudar a nuestro país” explica Ary a Infobae.
«Nuestra actividad habitual es la venta de envases para alimentos, por lo que estamos exceptuados de la cuarentena. De todas formas, en lo que son envases para delivery la venta viene disminuyendo por la situación económica cada vez más ajustada que tienen todas las personas», detalla.
Ese mismo viernes, asustados por lo que se venía, crearon un prototipo muy básico de las máscaras y mandaron unos mails tratando de ponerse en contacto con distintos funcionarios. También hicieron un posteo en Twitter arrobando a muchos funcionarios y políticos. “En el tweet dijimos que poníamos a disposición las bobinas necesarias para que el Estado sea el encargado de articular con otras empresas que puedan tomar nuestras bobinas, cortarlas, troquelarlas y de esa manera tener las máscaras”, comentan. Ofrecieron, además, donar el material para que el gobierno articule la fabricación de 100.000 máscaras para el personal de salud.
Ese tweet se viralizó inmediatamente: “El lunes, nos encontramos hablando con los ministerios de Salud de Nación, Provincia y CABA. El miércoles 25, empezamos a producir y ahí nos pusimos el objetivo de donar 150.000 máscaras nosotros y 150.000 máscaras Wagner, por lo que ya no sería el material para fabricar 100.000 máscaras sino que serían 300.000 máscaras en total».
“Dos días más tarde ya estábamos produciendo. Hasta hoy ya entregamos a los ministerios de Salud de Nación y de Provincia las 100.000 que habíamos prometido inicialmente. Y la semana que viene vamos a cumplir con la totalidad de la donación”, se entusiasman.
- ¿Cuál es la función de la máscara?
La máscara cumple tres funciones: protege los ojos, nariz y boca de quien la lleva de las gotas que expele al toser, hablar o estornudar la persona que tiene enfrente. Evita que el usuario se toque la cara. Y protege al resto de las personas de las gotas que también pueda expeler quien lleva la máscara.
- ¿Cómo se arman?
Las máscaras se componen de tres partes: una pantalla frontal con una superficie importante que cubre parte del pelo y del cuello, protegiendo de esta manera prácticamente todo el contorno de la cara; una vincha que se apoya en la frente y se utiliza para separar la pantalla de la cara, permitiendo una mejor ventilación de la máscara; las bandas elásticas de 4 cm de diámetro o 1 banda de 6,5 cm, para que la máscara se ajuste cómodamente a la cabeza.
- ¿A quiénes le llegarán esas primeras que fabricaron?
Van a llegar a los hospitales públicos del país. Elegimos articular con los Ministerios que son los que tienen la información respecto a qué hospitales tienen prioridad a la hora de recibir las máscaras. Más allá de esto donamos en forma directa a muchos hospitales. A este momento llevamos donadas 70.000. Es lo menos que podemos hacer por nuestro país en un momento tan difícil.
