Un proceso de divorcio se complicó luego que un hombre afirmara que su esposa lo engañó usando la aplicación de citas sociales. Pero para la corte judía de divorcios, abrir una cuenta de Tinder no constituye un acto de infidelidad.
En el caso presentado ante los rabinos, una esposa solicitó el divorcio hace dos años y exigió recibir su compensación.
Algo que tradicionalmente se resuelve antes de la boda y se compromete con un documento presentado en ese acto, conocido como Ketubah.

Afirmó que se fue de casa después de descubrir que su esposo estaba teniendo una relación con otra mujer.
La mujer dijo que, si bien su esposo negó el asunto, él continuó engañándola y exigió la compensación total que estipuló su acuerdo de matrimonio.
Esto eran 180,000 shekels (aproximadamente 50,000 dólares).
Su esposo negó todo en la corte, reconociendo que conocía a la mujer pero que sólo eran amigos.
Además, acusó a la esposa de infidelidad, presentando como evidencia el testimonio de un amigo que dijo que vio a la mujer en la popular aplicación de citas Tinder.
Cuando el abogado del esposo le preguntó, el amigo dijo que se había deslizado hacia la izquierda, rechazando la coincidencia algorítmica, por lo que nunca volvió a encontrar el perfil.
En respuesta al argumento de su ex esposo, la mujer negó haber abierto una cuenta en la aplicación de redes sociales que le permite seleccionar posibles parejas dependiendo de las preferencias.
Sugirió que tal vez su ex esposo había sido el que abrió la cuenta a su nombre.
Después de escuchar los argumentos de ambas partes, el tribunal de eruditos judíos dictaminó que una mujer tiene derecho a su compensación.
A menos que se haya demostrado que estaba equivocada.
Y que el hombre era un «Pastor de prostitutas» de acuerdo con la ley judía y estaba en una relación con otra mujer, la esposa debía recibir sus 180,000 shekels.
