La comunidad drusa tuvo un evento fundacional. La convocatoria a la primera Conferencia del Patrimonio Druso. Además del anuncio del establecimiento de un instituto de investigación y patrimonio para la comunidad.
Los drusos son una minoría religiosa que habita principalmente en Siria, el Líbano, Jordania e Israel. Existen pequeñas comunidades de emigrantes drusos en otros países. Hablan el árabe y el idioma del país donde residen
“El espacio que hemos establecido será un sitio cultural para todos los drusos del mundo”, expresó el director del Centro Patrimonial, el abogado Mahmoud Shinan.

La conferencia giró en torno de dos temas principales. El desarrollo de las comunidades drusas en Israel, su visión, problemas y barreras actuales, y los desafíos de los jóvenes drusos en Israel.
Como parte del evento se hizo entrega de un prestigioso reconocimiento a cinco miembros de la comunidad. Su labor fue fundamental en la promoción tanto de la comunidad drusa como de la sociedad israelí. Recibieron la mención, entre otros, el general de brigada, doctor Tarif Bader, por su trabajo al interior de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) en minimizar el número de contagios por coronavirus e introducir una variedad de desarrollos tecnológicos para el cuerpo médico; el doctor Assad Araidy, presidente de la Asociación de Amigos de la Aldea Infantil Horfesh, y Madián Abu Isa, director de la Aldea Horfesh, por promover la educación en la comunidad drusa.
