Árabes y rabinos celebraron juntos Jánuca en el Muro de los Lamentos. Ciudadanos de Bahréin y Emiratos Árabes Unidos participaron de la ceremonia en la ciudad de Jerusalén.

Los invitados especiales, activistas sociales y líderes de opinión, son parte de la delegación del Proyecto Sharaka. La misma tiene como objetivo reunir a personas de esos países e Israel.

El grupo sostuvo un encuentro con el presidente Reuven Rivlin en su residencia oficial y visitó el Museo Yad Vashem en la ciudad de Jerusalén informó Enlace Judío.

Durante la ceremonia del encendido de la quinta vela de Jánuca en el Muro de los Lamentos también estuvieron presentes el ministro de Salud israelí, Yuli Edelstein, el rabino principal de Jerusalén, Shlomo Amar, el rabino principal del Muro de los Lamentos, Shmuel Rabinowitz, entre otros, de acuerdo con Arutz Sheva.

En unas palabras ofrecidas durante la ceremonia, el rabino Amar resaltó el valor de la unidad en el pueblo de Israel. Remarcó que eso va más allá de las diferencias de cualquier tipo que existan en la sociedad.

Durante una intervención, el rabino Rabinowitz calificó de “milagro de Jánuca” que ciudadanos de Emiratos Árabes Unidos y Baréin pudieran estar presentes en la ceremonia del encendido de velas de Jánuca.

El rabino Rabinowitz llamó “héroes” al nivel de los macabeos al personal médico. Lo hizo reconociendo su trabajó a lo largo del año a combatir la pandemia de COVID-19 en los hospitales.

Edelstein también elogió la labor del personal médico en contra de la pandemia y les agradeció. “Esperamos que de estas luces de Jánuca haya surgido una gran luz para el pueblo de Israel”, dijo.
