En un discurso ante el Bundestag (Parlamento alemán Federal) con motivo del 76 aniversario de la liberación del campo de exterminio nazi de Auschwitz; Charlotte Knobloch, de 88 años y superviviente del Holocausto, subrayó que no se trata sólo de proteger a los judíos.
La presidenta de la Comunidad Israelita en Múnich, afirmó que luchar contra el antisemitismo es «luchar por la dignidad del ser humano, la democracia, la unidad, el derecho y la libertad» y advirtió en contra de la ultraderecha como la principal amenaza.
«Ahí donde el antisemitismo encuentra su espacio, cualquier forma de odio puede extenderse». El racismo, la homofobia, la misoginia, «el desprecio al ser humano de cualquier tipo», dijo.
Agregó que las ideologías y discursos antisemitas «vuelven a tener aceptación, en las escuelas y en las manifestaciones contra las medidas para contener la pandemia del coronavirus». Aludió al peligro de internet como «incitador de odio y acoso de todo tipo».

Subrayó asimismo que todo aquel que equipara las medidas para contener la pandemia con el nazismo «trivializa el terror de Estado antisemita y el Holocausto». Algo que calificó de «inaceptable».
La principal amenaza proviene de la ultraderecha, dijo, aunque también en la extrema izquierda el antisemitismo está «profundamente arraigado». Ahora también se suma el odio radical islamista hacia todo lo judío.
Dijo hablar como «orgullosa alemana» ante el Bundestag. Afirmó que todos pueden estarlo de la República Federal de Alemania, a la que, recordó, hay que defender.
Dirigió este llamamiento en particular a los miembros del Parlamento, aunque «explícitamente no a la derecha extrema del pleno», a la que dijo que «su lucha la perdieron hace 76 años».
«Ni un solo día podemos olvidar cuán frágil son los valiosos logros de los últimos 76 años», advirtió al mismo tiempo.
La publicista y miembro de Los Verdes Marina Weisband, de 33 años y emigrada con sus padres de Ucrania en 1994, habló en el acto en calidad de «representante de los descendientes. De una generación de jóvenes judíos muy diversa», que debe encontrar ahora su camino para mantener la memoria del Holocausto.
Afirmó que en Alemania todavía es peligroso para los judíos «ser visibles». Además, agregó que «ser sencillamente persona», sin catalogaciones es un «privilegio» reservado sólo a aquellos «que no tienen nada que temer por el hecho de haber nacido».

«Ser sencillamente persona» implica hacer invisibles las estructuras de represión. «Cualquier represión, sea sexismo, racismo, antisemitismo, vive de ser invisible para los no afectados», dijo.
Agregó que el convencimiento de que hay personas cuya dignidad tiene más valor, que se merecen más espacio en esta sociedad que otros, todavía no se erradicó.
Por su parte, el presidente del Parlamento alemán, Wolfgang Schäuble, calificó la judeo-alemana de «historia de las contradicciones». Con «fases de tolerancia y tiempos de exclusión, con oleadas de persecución y éxitos en el arte, la cultura, la ciencia y la economía».
