Misiles tierra-aire fueron disparados este miércoles contra una aeronave no tripulada del ejército israelí en el sur del Líbano. Lo anunció el portavoz de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI).
“Se acaban de disparar misiles antiaéreos contra un vehículo aéreo pilotado a distancia de las FDI durante una actividad de rutina sobre territorio libanés”, dijo el ejército en un comunicado, informó The Times of Israel.
A su vez, un periodista afiliado a Hezbolá, Ali Choeib, indicó que el grupo terrorista libanés estaría detrás del ataque. Se debe a una nueva política suya de tratar de repeler todas las incursiones israelíes en el espacio aéreo libanés.
“Lo que es seguro es que la decisión [de Hezbolá] de tratar de evitar que el enemigo continúe violando su espacio aéreo se ha hecho permanente”, escribió en Twitter Choeib, que trabaja para múltiples medios vinculados al grupo terrorista.
En tanto, los misiles disparados contra la aeronave representaron un aumento significativo en el nivel de violencia a lo largo de la frontera.
A diferencia del caso del lunes en el que supuestamente Hezbolá derribó un pequeño dron de las FDI cuando realizaba una misión de reconocimiento a lo largo de la frontera libanesa, la aeronave contra la que se dispararon los misiles es un modelo de mayor envergadura.
En el incidente del lunes, el pequeño dron fue derribado presuntamente con fuego de armas de calibre menor. Hoy, se utilizaron misiles tierra-aire.
Los ataques a drones israelíes esta semana se produjeron en medio de las tensiones persistentes entre las FDI y Hezbolá. Se debe a la muerte de uno de los miembros del grupo terrorista en julio de 2020 en un ataque aéreo en Siria atribuido a Israel. Tras lo sucedido, la milicia respaldada por Irán juró venganza.
Desde entonces, las tropas israelíes en el norte del país han permanecido en alerta máxima a lo largo de la frontera.
Además, Israel está técnicamente en guerra con el Líbano, donde ha librado dos guerras. Una en 1982 contra terroristas palestinos que habían establecido una base de operaciones en el país y otra en 2006 contra Hezbolá.
Por su parte, Líbano se queja regularmente de que los drones israelíes invaden su espacio aéreo. Las FDI sostienen que tales incursiones son necesarias para rastrear las actividades ilegales de Hezbolá, que se supone que el gobierno libanés debe mantener bajo control.
