Un hombre no judío que llevaba puesta una kipá en solidaridad con la comunidad judía en Gotemburgo (Suecia) fue víctima de un ataque antisemita.

Varios atacantes lo agredieron en la calle, y al menos uno de ellos lo llamó «bastardo judío», según reveló un testigo.

El incidente del miércoles «sucedió muy rápido», expresó este testigo al diario Dagen Nyheter. “No tuvo la oportunidad de defenderse”, contó esta persona, que tiene lazos con la víctima, la cual no fue identificada.

La policía, por su parte, está investigando el incidente, que ocurrió en horas de la tarde en el centro de Gotemburgo, una ciudad portuaria con más de 500.000 habitantes.

En 2015, un periodista nacido en Suecia que no es judío también fue víctima de un ataque antisemita por llevar puesta una kipá. Sucedió en Malmo, otra ciudad portuaria situada a unas 150 millas al sur de Gotemburgo. El hombre utilizó una kipá en la calle para probar las actitudes diarias hacia los judíos.

Los grupos de vigilancia y los funcionarios de la comunidad judía informan de un aumento en los incidentes antisemitas en Europa desde el comienzo de los intensos combates entre Israel y Hamás a principios de mayo. Un alto al fuego puso fin a 11 días de combates, pero los casos de antisemitismo todavía parecen estar ocurriendo a un ritmo elevado.
