Los incidentes de antisemitismo en la República Checa continuaron aumentando el año pasado en medio de la pandemia de coronavirus, y la mayor parte del odio antisemita se expresó en línea, dijo el miércoles la comunidad judía del país.

En su informe anual, la Federación de Comunidades Judías dijo que registró 874 incidentes antisemitas en 2020, 180 más que durante el año anterior de acuerdo a Enlace Judío.

Sin embargo, el informe concluyó que la República Checa sigue siendo un país seguro para los judíos. Dice que el antisemitismo se encuentra en un nivel relativamente bajo en comparación con otros países europeos.

Hubo un ataque físico registrado en 2020, otro ataque a propiedad judía y otros seis incidentes que involucraron amenazas antisemitas, acoso e insultos verbales.

En medio de la pandemia de coronavirus, la gran mayoría de los incidentes, el 98%, tuvieron lugar en Internet.

Entre ellos se incluyen teorías de conspiración difundidas por sitios web de desinformación, individuos y grupos antisemitas. Los mismos culpan a los judíos de la pandemia y afirman que la vacunación sirve a sus intereses financieros.

El informe de la comunidad advirtió que el antisemitismo en Internet no puede subestimarse.
