Un hombre ingresó a una pizzería kosher de Brooklyn y atacó a los clientes: revoleó mesas, sillas y lo que estaba a su alcance.

El altercado, captado por cámaras de seguridad, muestra el estallido violento aleatorio del hombre dentro de Bash Pizza, en el barrio neoyorquino Flatbush.

Las reacciones fueron variadas. Algunos de los clientes se fueron corriendo en busca de ayuda. Otros se atrincheraron en el baño de la tienda, incluidas 10 mujeres, un bebé y una mujer embarazada.

Y un hombre de camisa negra, que estaba dentro del local, agarró un banco y se lo arrojó al atacante, que le estaba gritando violentamente al personal. Automáticamente se dio vuelta y corrió tras él.

Cuando estaba en la calle, agredió a otro peatón, también judío, hasta que otra persona judía religiosa lo derribó desde atrás y lo hizo caer al piso. Otros se unieron para mantener al hombre sometido hasta que la policía llegó al lugar para detenerlo.

Un transeúnte le preguntó: «¿Por qué haces esto?», a lo que respondió «Porque puedo».

La policía del área de Flatbush respondió a la escena después de recibir numerosas quejas sobre el ataque antisemita. Una vez detenido lo llevaron al hospital para una evaluación psicológica.
