El comediante australiano Christian Hull se rió de un tweet satírico de Ana Frank en un video de TikTok que se publicó el viernes.

Hull subió un video de sí mismo riéndose de una serie de sus «tweets favoritos», uno de los cuales era de una página satírica de Twitter actualmente inactiva llamada Anne Frankly y dice: ¿Quién diablos leyó mi diario #pissed?

También se han tuiteado varias páginas similares en nombre de la víctima del Holocausto . Uno llega a marcar su ubicación como «escondida».

En los últimos años, las redes sociales se han utilizado como una herramienta para llegar y educar a los espectadores jóvenes sobre el Holocausto. Así fueron los 15 episodios de YouTube del Video Diario de Ana Frank, que fue creado por la Casa de Ana Frank en Ámsterdam.

El año pasado también mostró un aumento en el antisemitismo en las plataformas de redes sociales, y Twitter supuestamente fue el más antisemita según un informe de Fighting Online Antisemitism.

En respuesta al video, el presidente de la Comisión Antidifamación, Dr. Dvir Abramovich, emitió la siguiente declaración:
“Este inquietante incidente demuestra una vez más que la abyecta trivialización y degradación del Holocausto continúa impregnando nuestra cultura y disminuyendo el verdadero impacto de esta gran tragedia. Tenemos mucho trabajo por delante para educar a la gente sobre los horrores sin precedentes de la Shoah y lo incorrecto que es tomar a la ligera el sufrimiento y el exterminio de millones.

«La memoria de Ana Frank merece más respeto que el abuso», dijo, «y pedimos al comediante australiano, Christian Hull, que se disculpe de inmediato por su publicación obscena y por el daño que ha infligido, y que reflexione sobre su conducta».
