El embajador argentino en Israel, Sergio Urribarri, informó que el riego por goteo y la gestión de los recursos hídricos son áreas de especial interés en la relación con Israel. “Así lo definió nuestro gobierno nacional y estamos trabajando en ese sentido”, explicó el funcionario durante una visita realizada este jueves a Netafim, compañía líder mundial en riego por goteo.
“Realizamos esta visita con la meta de integrar el riego y la gestión del agua a la agenda de la misión comercial y científica a Israel que definimos con nuestro canciller Felipe Solá. Está prevista para este año y el ministro del Interior, Eduardo de Pedro, nos manifestó el interés de su cartera en estas áreas. También los ministerios de Agricultura, de Ciencia y Tecnología, de Desarrollo Productivo, ENOHSA, AySA, etc. Son temas en los que venimos trabajando, junto a otros que consideramos estratégicos además del comercio exterior, como la agrotecnología y el desarrollo del cannabis medicinal”, señaló Urribarri durante la recorrida por la célebre compañía israelí.

Netafim está ubicada en el kibbutz Hatzerim, en el desierto del Néguev, en las inmediaciones de la ciudad de Beer Sheva. La visita del embajador y su equipo se extendió por cinco horas. “Conocimos a través de relatos de los protagonistas la evolución tecnológica de Netafim y la progresiva expansión de los productos y servicios que ofrece, hasta llegar a una solución integral en materia de irrigación adaptable a todo tipo de situaciones, geografías y cultivos”, detalló Urribarri.
