Confirmando los rumores previos, se supo que gran parte de la historia central de la cuarta temporada de Fauda girará alrededor del enfrentamiento del comando de Doron Kavillio contra las fuerzas de Hezbollah.
En un “first look trailer” de la productora Yes Studios, difundido este martes, se puede ver que la nueva temporada de la miniserie israelí estará en gran parte ambientada en territorio libanés, donde actúa precisamente el grupo radical islámico que controla el poder en Beirut
“¿Cómo puede ser que ese maldito todavía ande libre?”, se escucha a Doron preguntarse en el trailer, que dura apenas un minuto y once segundos y brinda un puñado de pistas sobre el argumento.
Sí se puede ver al jefe del escuadrón de agentes especiales, encarnado por Lior Raz, combatir en medio de disparos y explosiones a lo que se presume son militantes de Hezbollah, mientras trata de salvar la vida de una misteriosa mujer.
“¡Déjame ir!”, le reclama la mujer a Doron a los gritos en una de las intensas escenas de la cuarta temporada. “Si te vas, eres persona muerta”, le responde el duro y conflictuado soldado israelí.
También se lo puede escuchar hablando en árabe, una de las características salientes del personaje de Doron a lo largo de las tres temporadas previas, cuando el grupo de comandos actuaba encubierto en Cisjordania o en la Franja de Gaza.
Según el trailer, la historia llevará a los operativos israelíes en aventuras por El Líbano, la ciudad palestina de Jenín (en Cisjordania). También en la pequeña localidad israelí de Ramla, pocos kilómetros al sur de Tel Aviv, y Bruselas, la capital de Bélgica.

La nueva sesión, de diez episodios, promete ser “más grande e internacional que las tres temporadas anteriores”. “Presentará nuevas amenazas y nuevos miembros del elenco”, señaló la revista estadounidense de espectáculos Deadline.
Además el regreso de Raz y de Itzik Cohen (capitán Ayub), Rona-Lee Shimon (Nurit), Idan Amedi (Sagi), Doron Ben David (Steve) y Meirav Shirom (Dana). Ahora al elenco se sumaron Inbar Lavi, Mark Ivanir, Amir Boutrous, Lucy Ayoub y Loai Noufi.
Co-creada por Raz y Avi Issacharoff, esta temporada de Fauda es producida por Liat Benasuly junto a Yes TV. Noah Stollman volvió al equipo como jefe de escritores.
Las grabaciones comenzaron en noviembre, cuando se difundieron algunas fotografías del rodaje.
También en aquel momento trascendió que los comandos israelíes se enfrentarán a militantes de Hezbollah y que, en el centro de la historia, aparece un secuestro.
