Un tribunal militar condenó a dos cadenas perpetuas al terrorista Muntasir Ahmed Ali Shalabi, asesino del israelí Yehuda Guetta (19 años), en mayo de 2021. El mismo ataque también dejó heridos a Benaya Peretz y Amichai Hala.
Además, el tribunal de las FDI dictaminó que, aparte de cumplir dos cadenas perpetuas entre rejas, el terrorista deberá pagar a la familia del israelí un millón de shekels (323.000 dólares) en concepto de indemnización.
Shalabi recibió condenas por cargos de homicidio premeditado, construcción y porte de armas e interferencia en procedimientos judiciales.
El abogado Chayim Bleicher, representante de la familia de Guetta, afirmó: “Esperamos que el maldito terrorista acabe su vida dentro de la cárcel, como manda la sentencia, pero la historia no terminó. La guerra contra el terrorismo no puede terminar sólo con el castigo penal. En una guerra hay que atacar al enemigo en todos los ámbitos posibles”.
“El gobierno israelí debe tomar medidas duras contra el entorno del terrorismo, incluyendo castigos severos para aquellos que lo ayudan e instigan. El clan de los terroristas debe ser exiliado de Israel y se debe emprender una guerra contra cualquier demostración de incitación o apoyo al terrorismo”, continuó Bleicher.
Tras la condena de Shalabi, el padre de Guetta, Elisha, pidió que lo condenaran a muerte.

Shalabi, de 44 años, es residente de la localidad de Turmus Ayya, en el centro de Judea y Samaria. Tras el atentado, se escondió en un hogar de familiares suyos en la localidad de Silwad, al norte de Ramallah, donde lo detuvieron las FDI.
Según el Shin Bet, el terrorista carece de afiliación con algún organismo. De todas formas, Hamás lo felicitó por el atentado.
El suceso se produjo a principios de mayo de 2021, fecha en la que se desató el conflicto Israel-Hamás.
