El ejército israelí anunció la detención del terrorista palestino que ejecutó el atentado del domingo, en el que murió un israelí y hay dos heridos.

Lo identificaron como Muntasir Shalabi, de 44 años y residente de la localidad de Turmus Ayya, en el centro de Judea y Samaria. El sospechoso estaba escondido en un hogar de familiares suyos en la localidad de Silwad, al norte de la ciudad de Ramallah.

En el ataque que ejecutó Shalabi resultaron heridos tres jóvenes israelíes. Este miércoles uno de ellos, Yehudá Guetta Z”L, falleció en el hospital.

Según el Shin Bet, Shalabi carece de afiliación con algún organismo terrorista. Ya se encuentra con las autoridades correspondientes para un interrogatorio.

De acuerdo con el Servicio de Seguridad General de Israel (Shin Bet), la detención fue resultado de un operativo entre este organismo, las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) y la Policía.

Por su parte, el primer ministro israelí Benjamín Netanyahu felicitó al Shin Bet, a las FDI y a la Policía de Israel “por su actuación rápida y determinada” para arrestar a Shalabi. Además, dijo: “Envío mi más sentido pésame a la familia de Yehudá Guetta Z”L. Esto son momento difíciles para la familia Guetta y todo el pueblo de Israel comparte su gran dolor”.
