El tenista serbio, Novak Djokovic, se consagró campeón del ATP 250 de Tel Aviv luego de vencer en la final a Marin Cilic de Croacia.
El número siete del ranking ATP se impuso al croata en dos sets: 6-3 el primero y 6-4 el segundo.
Djokovic llegó a la instancia final tras dejar en el camino al español Pablo Andújar en la primera ronda, Vasek Pospisil de Canadá en cuartos de final y Román Safiulin de Rusia en semis.
Por su parte, Cilic le ganó a Thiem en el debut y además se impuso a Broady y Lestienne en semifinales.
Con la consagración, el serbio sumó su título número 89 de ATP, por lo que es el quinto tenista que más ganó.
Djokovic obtuvo 21 Grand Slams, cinco ATP World Tour Finals, 38 Masters 1000, 14 ATP 500 y 11 ATP 250.
El torneo comenzó el pasado 25 de septiembre y finalizó hoy (domingo), con la consagración del serbio.
Del ATP 250 de Tel Aviv participaron también Diego Schwartzman (perdió en la primera ronda con Arthur Rinderknech) y tenistas israelíes como Edan Leshem y Yishai Oliel.
