En el día de ayer se llevó a cabo en los salones del Hotel InterContinental de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, la celebración por los 75 años de la Declaración de Independencia del Estado de Israel. El evento estuvo convocado por la sede diplomática del país hebreo en Argentina a cargo de Eyal Sela y contó con la colaboración de la Cámara de Comercio Argentino-Israelí, liderada por el Sr. Mario Montoto.
Ante una muy importante convocatoria que tuvo como invitados a políticos, empresarios, artistas, referentes religiosos y de asociaciones de la sociedad civil, la conductora Tete Coustarot estuvo a cargo de la conducción del evento que comenzó con la entonación del himno nacional argentino y el israelí, “Hatikva”. Ambas piezas musicales fueron ejecutadas por un sexteto de flauta, piano, violín y violonchelo e interpretadas por la cantante litúrgica Tali Lubienicki.
Posteriormente el jefe de misión Eyal Sela se dirigió al público destacando que Israel siendo un país de tan solo 75 años está precedido por una matriz histórica milenaria, resaltando la centralidad de Israel en la vida judía a través de los siglos. Seguidamente, el diplomático destacó cómo hoy este joven Estado que fue antecedido por años difíciles de dolor y persecución para el pueblo judío concibe a la libertad de culto y al respeto por la diversidad religiosa y cultural como un elemento basal y constitutivo.

Sela continuó su alocución remarcando cómo Israel recibió lo que el diplomático categorizó como “la bendición de la escasez”. Es decir, la carencia de recursos naturales y la presencia de adversidades bio climáticas que lo motivaron a desarrollar un universo de herramientas creativas que le permitieron sobreponerse a esas dificultades y convertirse en un impulsor constante de la innovación. Al respecto, el anfitrión del evento nombró una serie de desarrollos de su país natal que hoy están presentes en la vida cotidiana de todos los individuos a través de los celulares, las tarjetas de crédito y en los sistemas de geolocalización, así como en los diversos aspectos de la vida moderna.
A continuación, el diplomático decidió hablar de la situación en Medio Oriente, resaltando la paz alcanzada con Egipto y Jordania, así como con los recientes países que suscribieron los Acuerdos de Abraham (Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Bahrein, Marruecos), a lo que inmediatamente Sela agregó que espera que pronto pueda extenderse esa situación a sus vecinos palestinos. Seguidamente, el embajador resaltó que Israel siempre continuará bregando por su derecho a existir y defendiéndose de los que promueven su destrucción, haciendo clara alusión en este último tramo a que estos mismos interlocutores son quienes (en 1992 y 1994) llevaron adelante en tierra argentina dos crueles atentados.

Para terminar, Eyal Sela se refirió a los buenos vínculos históricos existentes entre Argentina e Israel señalando, entre otras cosas, que aquí convive la quinta comunidad judía más grande del mundo fuera de Israel y que la fuerte cooperación bilateral se extiende al campo político, científico tecnológico, cultural, académico y comercial. En este sentido, destacó el valioso accionar y aporte de la Cámara de Comercio Argentino Israelí. Por último, el diplomático reflexionó acerca de cómo Israel, la bíblica tierra PROMETIDA es hoy un Estado COMPROMETIDO con la defensa de las minorías, la libertad de culto y la democracia e invitó al público a sumarse a un brindis por los
primeros 75 años de este pujante país.
Por su parte en nombre del Estado argentino dirigió unas palabras el Secretario de Malvinas, Antártida y Atlántico Sur, embajador Guillermo Carmona. En su alocución el representante del Palacio San Martin expresó que los vínculos entre ambos países ostentan una gran solidez histórica evocando que Argentina fue el primer país de la región en abrir su sede diplomática en Israel y remarcando que ambas naciones están ligadas por un fuerte legado histórico y cultural signado también por el dolor de dos atentados terroristas que en 1992 y 1994 dejaron una herida abierta en ambas sociedades. Para culminar el diplomático argentino, remarcó los mancomunados valores binacionales y destacó el compromiso argentino en la lucha sostenida contra el antisemitismo y el recuerdo del Holocausto, siendo Argentina el único país de la región que oficia como miembro pleno de la IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance).
Al finalizar su alocución el diplomático argentino destacó “creemos que aún hay mucho potencial para la ampliación y profundización de nuestro relacionamiento y es el deseo de la Argentina continuar en esta senda aprovechando los múltiples intercambios e iniciativas de cooperación que hemos llevado adelante los últimos años”.
Posteriormente, el presidente de la CCAI Mario Montoto, expresó “…en nombre de toda la Comisión Directiva de la Cámara de Comercio Argentino Israelí, quiero obsequiarle al señor embajador un compilado de las primeras revistas de la Cámara que fueron editadas entre los años 1950 y 1954 como una muestra de los orígenes de hermandad de nuestros dos países y como regalo de cumpleaños, porque en definitiva el Estado de Israel cumple 75 años y nuestra Cámara de Comercio también”.

Luego que el titular de la Cámara de Comercio binacional hizo entrega de los ejemplares en cuestión, se dirigió al público para anunciar la convocatoria a la octava edición del concurso Israel Innovation Awards, el galardón organizado por el MINCYT, la CCAI y la sede diplomática israelí en Buenos Aires que año tras año premia las mejores innovaciones argentinas en diversos campos de la ciencia y el desarrollo. Al respecto Montoto resaltó: “es este un esfuerzo que realizamos la Embajada de Israel en la Argentina, nuestra Cámara y el Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología de la Nación, una verdadera política de Estado con resultados extraordinarios para nuestros jóvenes emprendedores.”
Para culminar el evento se entonaron dos piezas musicales dirigidas por el maestro Sergio Feferovich. La primera con la modalidad de flashmob, fue la pieza musical clásica del cancionero israelí y ganadora del afamado festival Eurovisión “Aleluya” de Gali Atari. Posteriormente, se entonó la canción “Salam” de Mosh Ben Ari que alude al deseo de paz entre los pueblos utilizando esos términos tanto hebreo (shalom) como en árabe (salam).
El acto finalizó con un brindis y con una torta alusiva compartida entre los invitados.
Participaron del evento más de 850 personas. Estuvieron presentes: Ministro de Interior, Eduardo De Pedro; Jorge Taiana, Ministro de Defensa; Ministro de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación, Daniel Filmus; Secretario de Malvinas, Antártida y Atlántico Sur, Guillermo Carmona; cuerpo diplomático argentino y cuerpo diplomático extranjero acreditado en el país.
Además, también estuvo el Ministro de Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri; el de Justicia y Seguridad de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Eugenio Burzaco; Ministro de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Enrique Avogadro; Secretario de Asuntos Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires; Waldo Wolff; Subsecretaria de Derechos Humanos y Pluralismo Cultural del Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Pamela Malewicz.
