El Museo del Holocausto de Buenos Aires comunicó el fallecimiento del sobreviviente Jorge Klainman Z’L.
Durante 50 años guardó «silencio», nadie conoció su historia. Luego, durante más de dos décadas narró el mayor crimen de la humanidad, la ‘solución final’ diseñada por el nazismo. «El que sabe y calla está colaborando», dijo hace uno años por primera vez.
En ese entonces, tomó la decisión de escribir el libro Séptimo Milagro, la historia de un sobreviviente en donde relata la experiencia extrema que vivió. Dicha obra fue traducida a varios idiomas y presentada en numerosas universidades del mundo.
Con 13 años, Jorge Klainman era solo un número: 85.143. Su vida exprimía las últimas gotas, abocada a la desaparición. Pero sobrevivió a los campos nazis de exterminio, al guión de muerte del Holocausto, «al infierno en la tierra» que un joven judío polaco sortearía con una sucesión de «milagros». La suerte de sus padres y hermanos fue diferente.
Jorge nació en 1928, en Polonia, donde vivió junto a sus padres y a sus tres hermanos. Cuando Jorge tenía 13 años, los nazis ingresaron a su casa y lo enviaron junto a su familia al campo de concentración de Plaszów. Allí lo separaron de sus padres y sus dos hermanas, quedándose solo con su hermano. Más tarde volvió a ser separado de su hermano y quedó solo, pasando por el gueto de Cracovia y los campos de concentración y exterminio de Mauthausen, Melk y Auschwitz. Jorge sabía hablar alemán y ruso, por lo que fue obligado por los soldados nazis a trabajar de traductor.
Cuando terminó la guerra, Jorge regresó a Polonia, luego vivió en Italia por dos años hasta que viajó a Buenos Aires, donde vivía su tía. En 1947 llegó a nuestro país, luego de pasar por Paraguay. Aquí conoció a Teresa, con quien tendría cuatro hijos.
Además, Jorge tuvo una participación activa en el Museo del Holocausto de Buenos Aires, dando testimonios a diferentes organizaciones educativas.
