Ayer por la tarde, un hombre de 60 años se presentó en la sede de la calle Pasteur al 600 de la AMIA. Se veía algo desaliñado, vestido con camisa negra y zapatillas y una vieja corbata. Su actitud era extraña, errática. Tomaba fotos del frente del lugar. En un momento, pidió ingresar para tomar fotos del interior. El personal de la institución judía no se lo permitió. Ante la negativa, el hombre dijo ser un policía retirado, un sheriff estadounidense en desuso.
El personal de la AMIA no le creyó. Ante la alarma, denunciaron la presencia del hombre, que fue arrestado por la Dirección General de Seguridad de Estado y el Departamento Unidad Investigaciones Antiterrorista de la PFA, con una causa en su contra a cargo del juez federal Julián Ercolini.
Así, lo requisaron rápidamente. Presentó un supuesto pasaporte estadounidense, que podrá ser peritado para determinar su autenticidad. El documento decía que el hombre había nacido en Irán en 1963. Estados Unidos, curiosamente, le habría otorgado el pasaporte en 2019, plena administración Trump. El nombre del hombre es Sebastian Human Cardan.

Hoy por la mañana, Human Cardan fue liberado, luego de que la PFA determinó que su pasaporte se encontraba en regla y que no era una falsificación, según confirmó Télam. Por su parte, personal de la Dirección Nacional de Migraciones determinó que la situación migratoria del demorado es regular y ajustada a derecho, ya que ingresó al país como turista y puede permanecer en territorio nacional hasta el 16 de febrero de 2024.
La AMIA comunicó el caso en su cuenta de la red social X: “La institución informa que en horas de la tarde una persona se acercó a la sede de Pasteur 633 manifestando su intención de ingresar al edificio para conocer el lugar y tomar fotografías. A partir de ese momento autoridades correspondientes se encuentran realizando todas las averiguaciones que consideran necesarias para verificar la información brindada por este individuo y definir el curso de acción”, agregó a través de un comunicado oficial que compartieron a través de sus redes sociales.
El episodio recuerda al del ciudadano iraquí detenido frente a la Embajada de Israel el 19 de octubre pasado. El hombre, aseguraron fuentes del caso a Infobae, fue identificado como Massoud Yousif S.F, nacido el 25 de febrero de 1999. Presentó un pasaporte de la República de Iraq.
Según fuentes del caso, un expediente en la Justicia federal a cargo de la jueza María Eugenia Capuchetti y el fiscal Guillermo Marijuan, es falso. “Se detectaron inconsistencias en el pasaporte”, aseguraba una fuente clave en el expediente. El sospechoso, por su parte, aseguró ser un perseguido político que buscaba asilo en la Argentina.
