Mientras tanto, la ofensiva terrestre de las fuerzas continuó, en tanto el ejército identificaba a dos terroristas armados que avanzaban hacia un complejo donde estaban estacionadas las tropas. Se tomaron medidas rápidas cuando las fuerzas terrestres dirigieron un avión de las FDI para eliminar a los terroristas, impidiendo su ataque.
En Al-Atatra, unidades de las FDI descubrieron y neutralizaron varios pozos de lanzamiento utilizados para disparar cohetes hacia territorio israelí.
En otro incidente ocurrido en Khan Younis, las tropas localizaron a dos terroristas armados. En coordinación con un avión de las FDI, las tropas eliminaron con éxito la amenaza.
Además, los tanques de las fuerzas eliminaron a cinco terroristas y descubrieron un pozo subterráneo en las cercanías de la ciudad.
